Veterans Services
Centralia College is an approved institution for the education and training of veterans, reservists and the children and spouses of deceased or 100% "total and permanently" (with no further exams pending) disabled veterans.
Services Available
- Assistance with the college application and registration process
- Assistance throughout the education benefit application process
- Notification of enrollment and enrollment changes to the VA
- Help in interpreting, explaining and implementing VA policies and college regulations
The college cannot override VA policies or determine VA eligibility, nor does the college control the issuance of VA Educational benefits. The VA requires 30-45 days to process any paperwork submitted to them.
Priority Registration
Priority Registration allows all eligible veterans to register early. Eligible veterans
are those who have an honorable discharge and reside in Washington State. Priority
registration helps veterans get the classes they need and promotes efficient use of
benefits. It does not change or waive any course or major requirements, such as prerequisites
and major restrictions.
All eligible veterans should contact Enrollment Services, whether or not you currently
are using VA benefits. Veterans who currently do not use benefits will need to submit
a copy of their DDform214 to Enrollment Services.
Military Credits
As required by RCW 28B.10.057, Centralia College will evaluate and grant credit hours for military education based on the recommendations from the American Council on Education's Guide to the Evaluation of Educational Experiences in the Armed Services. This is in accordance with transfer credit policies at CC and the State Board of Community and Technical Colleges.
