Important Information for Financial Aid Applicants

Important information for students is included below. Check back regularly for updated information.

Financial Aid Processing is Underway for Summer Quarter

  • The Financial Aid Office is currently working on files that met the priority funding deadline of May 1.
  • A Notification Letter will show up in ctcLink as soon as your financial aid has been awarded.
  • If you have already received an Award Notification Letter, you can expect to see financial aid disbursements on your student account by Friday, July 19.
  • Awarding will continue in small batches to ensure accuracy
  • We look forward to supporting your educational journey at Centralia College!

 

ALL STUDENTS PLEASE DO THIS

  • Login to ctcLink to view your To-Do List! Make sure you do not have any outstanding items. Missing or incomplete documentation will delay your award. 
  • Check your college email! Students have been notified of their Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status from spring quarter. If you need to file an appeal, please follow the directions provided in the email. 
  • Be sure to attend ALL your classes! Contact the Financial Aid Office immediately via email at ccfinancialaid@centralia.edu if you drop any of your classes or your enrollment status changes.
  • You may need to purchase books and supplies on your own.
    • If you are participating in Running Start, TRIO, BFET, Worker Retraining, WorkFirst, or Opportunity Grant, you may be eligible for book money! Please check with your program support staff to find out about available funding.
    • You may also qualify for a Student Emergency Grant to help with education-related expenses.

FINANCIAL AID REINSTATEMENT / APPEALS FOR GRADES

If you need to appeal for financial aid reinstatement based on your prior quarter grades, the deadline for fall 2024 is Wednesday, July 31.  Download an appeal form (pdf). Your appeal will not be considered if it is incomplete. A complete appeal must contain the Appeal Form, a Financial Aid Education Plan Form and a letter explaining what unforeseen or beyond your control circumstances occurred. Please contact the Financial Aid Office with any questions at ccfinancialaid@centralia.edu.

BOOKS FOR BFET, WORKFIRST, WORKER RETRAINING, AND OPPORTUNITY GRANT 

Book accounts for BFET, WorkFirst, Worker Retraining, and Opportunity Grant will be available July 1-25. All purchases must be in-store only. Web orders for these programs will not be accepted.
