Important Information for Financial Aid Applicants

Important information for students is included below. Check back regularly for updated information.

Financial Aid Processing is Underway for Winter Quarter

If you submitted all required financial aid forms by Nov. 25, and you are eligible for funding, then your winter classes will be held. If you turned in documentation after the Nov. 25 deadline, you will need to pay your winter tuition or sign up for a payment plan while Financial Aid continues to review your file.

STUDENTS PLEASE DO THIS:

  • Login to ctcLink to complete three specific tasks:
    • View your To-Do List. Make sure you do not have any outstanding items. Missing or incomplete documentation will delay your award.
    • Look for a hold on your student account that says “Tuition Deferred – Possible FA.” If your financial aid file was complete by Nov. 25 and do not see this alert, please contact ccfinancialaid@centralia.edu right away.
    • Verify your Check Address. Checks will be mailed to the Check Address on file in ctcLink. To verify your Check Address go to Student Homepage > Click Profile > click Addresses. Make sure your Mailing Address and your Check Address are the same.
  • Attend ALL your classes.
  • You may need to purchase books and supplies on your own. If you are participating in TRIO, BFET, Worker Retraining, WorkFirst, Early Achievers Grant, or Opportunity Grant, you may be eligible for book money! Please check with your program support staff to find out about available funding.

FINANCIAL AID REINSTATEMENT / APPEALS FOR GRADES

If you need to appeal for financial aid reinstatement based on your prior quarter grades, the deadline is Dec. 30. Please note that there is a short turnaround time from when fall grades are available and winter quarter starts. For any appeals turned in after the deadline, you will need to make payment arrangements or sign up for a payment plan in ctcLink. Download an appeal form (pdf). Your appeal will not be considered if it is incomplete. A complete appeal must contain the Appeal Form, a Financial Aid Education Plan Form and a letter explaining what unforeseen or beyond your control circumstances occurred. Please contact the Financial Aid Office with any questions at ccfinancialaid@centralia.edu.

Books for WORKER RETRAINING, WORKFIRST, BFET, OPPORTUNITY GRANT, & Early Achievers GRANT

Book accounts for BFET, WorkFirst, Worker Retraining, Opportunity Grant, and Early Achievers will be available Jan. 6-24. Please note all purchases must be in-store only. Web orders for these programs will not be accepted.
