TAC Building Updates

The TransAlta Commons is partially closed for air quality testing. Find out where to access campus services.

A photo of the exterior of the TAC building on a sunny dayOn Monday, May 12, staff noticed some unfamiliar smells on the second floor of the TAC building. We decided to close most of the building until we could adequately test the air quality. The Bowman Rotary Banquet Rooms and cafeteria are on its own ventilation system and will remain open. Until the air quality testing is completed, all other sections of the TAC building will remain closed.

Information about offices in the TAC building is below:

  • The Writing Center has moved into the Kirk Library in LIB 112 for the rest of the week. They are open normal hours.
  • Bookstore will be closed. Please call or email the bookstore for services at 360-623-8964 or
    ccbookstore@centralia.edu.
  • Blazer Bistro and Cafeteria will remain closed to students and employees. The cafeteria will continue catering operations for banquet events only.
  • Student Services Offices have been relocated to various places around campus. Please visit the temporary welcome desk in the first-floor lobby in Washinton Hall (WAH).
