Commencement Ceremony
The 2025 commencement ceremony will be held at 4pm Wednesday, June 18, on Littel Commencement Field (near the clocktower) on the main Centralia College campus.
Details for Participants
You may pick up the caps and gowns you ordered or asked to borrow beginning at 9am Monday, June 2, through Monday, June 16 in Enrollment Services (TAC second floor). If you wish to authorize someone else to pick up your cap/gown/honors, please email admissionscc@centralia.edu . Your designee must show photo identification.
Even if you are not borrowing a gown or picking up an order, YOU MUST VERIFY YOUR INFORMATION TO BE READ OUT DURING THE CEREMONY WITH ENROLLMENT SERVCES. You can stop by or call 360-623-8976.. You can pick up any honors at this time.
Honor cords will be handed out with caps and gowns for those that qualify. There is no cost to students and cords/medallions are yours to keep. Honors are based on the cumulative GPA at the end of Winter quarter (Spring grades won’t be available to calculate until after graduation)
- Highest Honors – GOLD cord w/medallion 3.90-4.00
- High Honors – GOLD cord 3.75 – 3.89
- Honors – SILVER cord 3.50-3.74
- High School Diploma/GED – BLUE cord
- Veterans – Red/White/Blue cords will be given at the Veteran’s Cording Ceremony on at 6pm on June 11 (RSVP via email by June 1).
- Bachelor’s students will be able to borrow a gold BAS stole.
- PTK stoles can be picked up in SLIC.
All students borrowing gowns and stoles must fill out a borrower’s form and return gowns and stoles to Enrollment Services by July 3 (call 360-623-8976 to make alternative arrangements) or pay a replacement fee. Participants are encouraged to return borrowed gowns and stoles to the TAC banquet rooms (Rooms 105 A,B,C) immediately following graduation.
How to Apply for Graduation
In order for your degree to be awarded and to receive information for the Commencement Ceremony, you must apply for graduation. The Graduation Application will determine if you are eligible to obtain your certificate or diploma. Information regarding the Commencement Ceremony will be sent mid-March. There is no fee to apply for graduation or to participate in Commencement.
Diplomas
Centralia College will mail diplomas approximately 60 days after the end of the quarter in which the requirements for the program has been completed and verified. Diplomas will be mailed to the address on the student’s record.
