Running Start Admission
Getting started at Centralia College is easy and free. Student seeking to participate in the Running Start program can follow these simple steps to apply and register.
Running Start is a state program for academically qualified juniors and senior high school students. You can enroll in courses to fulfill high school graduation requirements and earn college credit.
Now Accepting Applications for fall 2020
Now is the time to apply for Running Start for September classes.
Step 1 - Apply to Centralia College
Applying for admission to Centralia College is as simple as visiting the Enrollment Services Office (second floor of the TransAlta Commons on the main campus or Centralia College East in Morton) or completing an online admission form. There is no cost to apply.
Step 2 - Submit Your Application Materials
Submit the following documents and information electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org:
- Running Start application (pdf)
- Official high school transcript
- Smarter Balanced test scores (only ELA scores of 3 or higher will be accepted) Note: If you haven’t taken Smarter Balanced tests, contact email@example.com for alternatives.
Step 3 - Meet with an Advisor
Schedule an appointment for advising by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Step 4 - Watch the Orientation Video Online
The student and a parent or guardian are encouraged to watch the Running Start Student and Parent Orientation video. This video sets expectations for the student and provides helpful information for transitioning to college.
