Vaccine Incentive Program
Centralia College is participating in the statewide effort to increase COVID-19 vaccination rates by offering vaccine incentives. Find details about available incentives here.
$100 Vaccine Incentive
All students and employees who are vaccinated by the deadline of Oct. 18 are eligible for $100.
Once you attest to being vaccinated through your ctcLink account, and your tuition has been paid, you can go to the Cashier's Office (second floor, TransAlta Commons) to claim a $100 Visa gift card. The deadline to pick up your Visa gift card has been extended to Dec. 17.
Please call the cashier - 360-623-8931 - prior to stopping by to make sure they have cards available. If they are out, they will verify your eligibility, add your name to the order list, and contact you when the new order has arrived. Make sure to contact the cashier by 4:30 pm on Dec. 17 to get your card.
Employees are also eligible for a $100 vaccine incentive. This will come through your paycheck sometime after Oct. 18. Details have not been finalized.
Drawing for Ten $1,000 Scholarships
On June 3, 2021, Governor Inslee publicly announced Shot of a Lifetime, a vaccination incentive program that included funds for colleges to provide vaccine incentive programs. Each two-year college received $10,000 to be given away as scholarships.
For fall 2021, Centralia College awarded $1,000 scholarships to 10 vaccinated students enrolled in fall quarter classes. All students who were enrolled in at least six credits in spring term 2021 and did not graduate or complete their program were automatically entered into the drawing. Ten randomly-selected students were notified of their scholarship in August. Awards will be applied to fall quarter classes.
