      <description><![CDATA[As part of the ongoing facelift at Centralia College, it was necessary for some of the old, existing facilities to disappear. Among the casualties were the Batie Science Center, Ehret Hall, Lingreen Hall, and the Rufus Kiser Native Gardens. New buildings now occupy the space of the former structures, and the native plant collection in the Kiser Garden has been uprooted and readied for transplant.]]></description>

Koloushani, who was born in a smaller city outside Tehran and studied in Britain, says the vast majority of Iranians have a surprising level of understanding and respect for their U.S. counterparts. As one of our international students, she is bringing a special program to Centralia College on April 30 to prove her point.]]></description>
