Associate of Applied Science in Process Technology and Instrumentation & Control TechnologyBellingham Technical College Center of Excellence for Process and Control Technology offers Associate of Applied Science degrees in Process Technology and Instrumentation & Control Technology. The Process Technology program prepares students as Plant Operators for the processing industries, like petroleum refineries, chemical plants, pharmaceutical plants, co-generation power plants, pulp and paper mills, food processing industries and waste water treatment plants.
The Instrumentation & Control Technology program prepares students for employment to maintain, repair and troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems in such industries as petroleum refining, pulp and paper, pharmaceuticals, aluminum, food processing, chemical manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing, and power generation.

AAS-T in Environmental Technologies and Sustainable Practices (ETSP)The AAS-T degree outcomes include the ability to measure, monitor, and recommend actions to reduce and innovate energy use and applications in commercial settings. All graduates will have a business and scientific basis for choosing actions. Business graduates will be able to address savings and spending using terms and tools applicable to those settings. Technical graduates will be able to perform in a hands-on environment. All graduates will have tested and further developed their skills through internships, service learning and/or capstone projects.

Center of Excellence for Energy Technology
Associate in Applied Science-Energy Technology/Power OperationsCentralia College is the Center of Excellence for Energy Technology and offers an Associate in Applied Science in Energy Technology Power Operations. Centralia, WA is situated at the center of major power producers that include coal, gas and four hydro dams within a 30-mile radius of the city that collectively employ over 1000 people. These employers act as advisory to the program providing subject matter expertise ensuring the knowledge, skills and abilities of our students meet the ever changing demands of the energy industry. The Energy Technology degree prepares students for entry level power generation positions such as assistant control operator, technician and other high voltage apprenticeships.
