Ken Wastradowski, Basketball & Baseball

2014 Hall of Fame

Ken was a starting guard in basketball and a pitcher in baseball. In 1969 the Blazer baseball team placed 2nd behind Lower Columbia, which took state that year. As a pitcher known for his “off speed” pitches he also had an excellent fastball that helped him have a winning season, losing only to Lower Columbia and the UW freshmen in an exhibition game. He played two seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates and played five seasons of semi-pro from 1972-76, two of them with the Centralia Pavers. The 1976 Paver team finished in 2nd Place at the semi-pro World Series.
