2015 Hall of Fame

While attending Centralia College, Walton earned two letters in baseball and one in basketball. He made second Team NWAACC All-Conference and All-State Tournament in his sophomore year. He continued playing baseball for two years at Western Washington University. Walton was the assistant varsity coach at Sehome and Meridian high schools from 1979-2011. He has been the varsity at Ferndale high schoolsince 2011. He was inducted into the Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame as an assistnat coach. Walton has volunteered at the Washington All-State baseball games for many years. Walton was the varsity assistant coach in seven state basketball championships; won three state baseball championships as varsity assistant coach at Sehome and one state basketball championship; and he has won ten Mal Walton JV championships.
