Louise Rota, Basketball and Tennis

2009 Hall of Fame

Played basketball and tennis for Centralia College from 1967-69. Was the basketball team Captain, and state singles runner up champion her freshman year and the state singles champion her sophomore year. The tennis team was the State Community College champions in 1969. At Eastern Washington State College, Louise participated in volleyball and basketball. For 25 years participating in fast pitch and softball, receiving many awards, All League, All State, All Regional and MVP honors at tournaments, participating in state, regional and national tournaments in California, South Carolina, and Florida. Inducted in the Montesano High School Hall of Fame for 30 years of coaching with her teams winning 15 continuous sub-district championships, 6 other sub-district championships, 3 district champions, 2nd and 4th place in State, 8 state champions. Taught for 31 years in Montesano School District. Currently a volunteer coordinator at Give Kids the World in Kissimmee, Florida (part of Make a Wish Foundation).
