Jack received Most Inspirational Player Award for the two years he played here. He played at Pacific University and was an All-League halfback. As a senior he lead the conference in rushing and was third in scoring. He was selected to the “First Team All-Conference” and was nominated for the "Little All-American Board." He taught and coached at Mapleton, OR, from 1959-67, as head football and baseball coach and assistant basketball coach. In 1964 was selected by the Oregon Coaches Association as "Oregon A-2 Coach of the Year" for football.
