External Scholarships

These scholarships are offered by local and national organizations. Centralia College is providing this list as a service to our students but does not endorse any particular organization. The list below is not a complete list of the scholarships that may be available to you; the organizations below have communicated with Centralia College in some way to let us know about their scholarships. For additional resources on finding scholarships, you can contact your advisor, the Financial Aid office, or the Advising and Counseling Center. All links provided below will open a new page.

  • St. Helens Club: The St. Helens Club is offering a $1000 scholarship to a woman who has completed two years of college and intends to continue working toward a higher academic degree. The applicant must be a Lewis County resident. Applications are available by calling Jan Snider at 360-807-8391 or email St.Helens Club Deadline: April 16, 2018.

  • Centralia-Chehalis Emblem Club #163: Centralia-Chehalis Emblem Club #163 is awarding a $1000 scholarship. The applicant must contact M.Frombgen for the official scholarship application and rules. Only their format is accepted; applications must be typed. Deadline: April 1, 2018.

  • The American Association of University Women, Lewis County: AAUW awards two scholarships a year. The applicant must contact for the official scholarship application. Deadline: February 15, 2018. AAUW Lewis County

  • WSECU: The Washington State Employee Credit Union is awarding two scholarships. A $2500 scholarship for a four year student; a $1500 for a two year student. It's an on-line application process. Deadline: February 12, 2018. WSECU

  • Washington State Opportunity Scholarship: The Washington State Opportunity Scholarship awards up to $22,500 in scholarships. This scholarship supports low and middle income Washington students pursuing majors in science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) or health care. Deadline: February 28, 2018. WSOS

  • WSU-Vancouver: This award is designed for transfer students who have leadership potential, are community-service oriented and have an excellent GPA. Students are nominated by their community college's president and receive a renewable full-tuition award. Applications for this scholarship start in spring quarter.   • Washington Women in Need: Washington Women in Need is a nonprofit organization that provides education grants to low-income women in Washington State. Applicants must meet WWIN's eligibility criteria to be considered. Deadline: Grant cycles are continuous - please check website. WWIN

  • Pacific Seed Association: Pacific Seed Association awards three 1000.00 scholarships. Applicants must submit an essay of 500 to 1000 words describing why they are interested in agriculture, particularly as it relates to the US Seed industry. Deadline: February 28, 2018.   • Game Village: Game Village is awarding a $500 scholarship for students who are passionate about the gaming industry and want to take up further studies for researching in the field. A 400 word essay stating why you need the scholarship and how it will help you. No deadline was provided. Game Village

  • Senior Homes Caregiving: Senior Homes Caregiving is offering two $1,000 scholarships to students attending an accredited US college who care for aging relatives. Submit your story through a 1500 word essay or 2 minute video telling them about your journey. Deadline - January 31, 2018. Senior Homes Caregiving

  • Performance Place Sports Care: Performance Place Sports Care is offering a $250 scholarship to a student on their way to a DC, PT, ATC or MD program, with an emphasis in sports injuries. An original 1500 word essay on the biomechanics of the foot or ankle and their relationship to golfing or running. Deadline - January 31, 2018. Performance Place Sports Care

  • Taxi Orlando: Taxi Orlando Cab Service is offering two $500 scholarships to students who write an essay on the topic "Taxi Cab Services verses Ride Sharing Services." The essay should be approximately 750 words. Deadline(s)- November 15, 2017 and April 1, 2018. Taxi Orlando

  • Rosenkrantz Scholarship Fund: The Alex and Suzanne Rosenkrantz Scholarship Fund is offering a scholarship to a deaf/blind student who describes their background and reasons why they deserve a scholarship. Applications are accepted year round for an August review period. Rosenkrantz Scholarship

  • Mesothelioma Guide: The Mesothelioma Guide is offering scholarships to assist students affected by mesothelioma. You must write an essay telling your story and include facts about the desease and demonstrate an understanding of mesothelioma. The essay must be between 1000 to 2000 words. No deadline was posted.   • Cool Dehumidifier: Cool Dehumidifier is offering a $1500 scholarship to a student who writes an essay on the topic: "Practices which improve daily life for people who suffer from asthma". The essay should be approximately 1500 words. Deadline - January 15, 2018. Cool Dehumidifier

  • Johnston Law Firm: The Johnston Law Firm is offering a $1000 scholarship to cover the cost of an LSAT prep course for a student who writes an essay describing what you will do with your law degree and how society will benefit.   • Zenaptic Chiropractic: Dr. Troy Dreiling is offering a $1000 scholarship to a student who writes an answer to this question: "How you have demonstrated leadership ability both in and out of school?" The essay should be under 500 words. Deadline - May 1, 2018. Zenaptic Chiropractic Scholarship

  • Adventographer Scholarship: The Adventographer is offering a $1500 scholarship to a student who submits a photo taken while traveling and submits an essay describing why that memory is special. The essay should be 500 words. Deadline - February 1, 2018. Adventographer Travel

  • CoolerZone is offering a $2,000 scholarship to a student who writes an essay on "The Sport of Fishing." The essay should be 1000 to 1500 words. Deadline - February 15, Annually. TheCoolerZone

  • Zaid Law: Zaid Law Personal Injury Law Firm is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a student who writes an essay representing your opinion, backed with facts, on how to enhance road traffic safety and prevent accidents. The essay should be 1500 words. Deadline - January 20, 2018. Zaid Law

  • Wilshire Law Firm: Wilshire Law Firm is offering a biannual $1,000 scholarship to a student who writes an essay describing your professional goals, how you intend to contribute to the community and why you deserve this scholarship.   • Andrew Flusche Scholarship: The Andrew Flusche Scholarship Contest is awarding a $500 scholarship to a student who submits the winning video on How to Interact with the Police . The video should be no longer than 3 minutes. Deadline - June 30, 2018. Andrew Flusche

  • Typology Central Personality Type Scholarship: Typology Central is awarding a $2000 scholarship to a student who submits the winning essay on the questions listed on their website. The essay to be at least 1000 words. Deadline - June 23, 2018. Typology Personality
