Advanced Placement

Students seeking mid-program transfer or readmission will be considered for admission only on a space available basis. Qualified transfer or readmission students are accepted into the 4th quarter of the program (fall of 2nd year). Special approval by the Nursing Program Director and Admissions staff must be obtained to enter the program at any other quarter.

Transfer or re-admission students must meet all Admission Requirements, and must submit their application by the same method and deadline dates as new student applicants. Official transcripts and course outlines for nursing courses to be considered for advanced placement must also be submitted at the time of application. An appointment with the Director of Nursing may be required. Please bring copies of your transcripts.

Advanced placement students who have documented successful completion of at least two quarters of nursing classes with grades >3.0 are not required to submit TEAS test scores to be considered for admission. However, it is advantageous to submit TEAS test scores because they are used as tie-breaker criteria for assigning ranking order in cases where applicants' admission rubric scores are tied.
