Washington

PDF of USGS version of GM-34, geology of SW Washington 1:250,000 scale   (big file—best to save it to your hard disk or flash drive and then open in Adobe Acrobat Reader. You will have to rotate it 90° to the right to read it. To clip a part of the map to use in a report, use the alt—PrtScn command =>  Press the Alt key at the same time you press “PrtScn”. This takes a screen shot. In Macintosh computers cmdshft—4 used to do the same thing. Then paste this clipped image into Irfanview (PC freeware) Graphic Converter (Mac freeware) to edit. You might want to use the either graphics program to crop the image to exactly what you need for your diagram. Paste into Powerpoint to add text, then “save as” and choose jpg.
