NEW! Just for Fun Piano
Learn to play piano in one day! Taught
by nationally known pianist Donn Rochlin, this unique course
will teach you all you need to know to play your favorite
songs and improvise freely without years of tedious lessons.
In addition this workshop focuses on the creative aspects of
playing piano, not note reading. Donn will demonstrate how
you can play any song and any style by understanding how to
use chords and embellishments. Students will learn "musical
shorthand." Discover "tricks and licks" used by professional
pianists. Learn to play by feel rather than notes. Class is
designed for students 16 years and up and is directed toward
total beginners as well as clssical and experienced pianist
who would like to play with more freedom and creativity. A
$25 material fee for book and CD is payable to the
instructor on the first class.

Community Band
Lewis County Community Band offers performance
experience for band instrumentalists, college students, and
community adults. Provides opportunity to improve technical
and musical skills. Provides community service when
possible. If you would like to join but do not have an
instrument, some are available through the college for a
rental fee of $15 per quarter. Directed by Louie Blaser.

Pacific Northwest Chamber Orchestra
The
orchestra provides performance experience for any high
school, college or adult community string musician. Players
will be seated by the conductor through audition at the
first rehearsal. Please prepare a short excerpt to
demonstrate your skill. Sight-reading will be required. In
addition to the regularly scheduled Monday evening
rehearsal, additional sectional rehearsals may be scheduled
as needed. Musicians must supply their own instrument.
