Traditional Oil Painting Techniques
Oil painting from start to
finish and everything in between! Maggie Strassel is now offering
traditional oil painting workshop designed for the intermediate
painter. We will start with the proper way to stretch a canvas and
end with a final varnish application and framing. First class day
will be devoted to supplies needed. All you need on the first day is
a digital camera. Held at the Lewis County Mall Classroom. No
classes on 7/19 or 8/16.

Ceramics & Pottery - Basic
Learn to make ceramics from start to
finish. We will pour a mold, attach flowers and different
designs, and glaze the beautiful work of art. You will also
learn the basic operations of a kiln. Supplies will cost

Something Different (Ceramics)
Using different glazes and rubbing alcohol
to make really cool designs. Choose from a frog, dinosaur, vase
or one of the other items available for this technique.
Supplies will start at $25 depending on

Sunsets
Sunsets are magnificent and you can create a
beautiful sunset on a large plate. Learn how to blend colors
using colored clay products on Green Ware. Choose from 3
beautiful silhouette designs. The African, The Desert or The
Beach. Supplies cost approximately $50 . Instructor Tammy

Drawing from Life
Learn to draw using all the basic elements
including line, shape, pattern, space, and value while
investigating gesture, contour, proportion and form in light
using a variety of materials and processes. The nude human
form will be studied in several class meetings. A supply
list will be sent to you upon registration. Taught by
Michael Kohlmeier, a former CC graduate and has a B.A. with
an emphasis in fine arts. Michael is currently a
professional architectural designer as well as a theatrical
set designer and painter with over thirty years of
experience. There is a $10 model fee due to the instructor
at class.

Circular Loom Knitting: Cables!
Perfect for the student who has experimented
with circular knitting looms and have a desire to progress to new skills and
techniques. Join us in learning the ins and outs of creating cables on our
looms while creating beautiful projects! Students may have already taken the
Circular Loom Knitting: Basics class, or have had prior experience knitting
flat pieces, knit/purl stitches, increasing/decreasing, etc. on the looms.
Students will need to purchase the Instruction booklet by Isela Phelps:
Learn to Knit Cables on Looms. A supply list will be mailed to the student.

Explore the Magic of Leaves
Locady Leaves, local artist - Joyce Moore, recipient of
the third place Exhibitors Choice award at the Home & Garden
show is excited to share her talent by teaching you
how to immortalize a natural leaf by shaping it into sand and
casting it into concrete. Joyce has been casting leaves for
3 years at her studio on Burnt Ridge and has been accepted
into ARTrails. A $10 supply cost is payable to
the instructor on the first class day.

Beginning Stained Glass – Lead & Foil
Learn all the techniques to make and complete
your first stained glass panel. Class covers selecting
design, leading basics, soldering, and finishing techniques.
Patterns and equipment provided by the instructor. Students
will purchase their supplies from the instructor at class.
Glass supplies will cost approximately $120. A map and small
supply list will be mailed to you upon registration. Taught
by Karen Milton, a 26-year veteran of stained glass work.
She has taught glass creations for over 20 years in
Washington. Class will be taught in Rochester at 18245 Irwin
Street SW at Karen’s shop.
