Early Childhood Education & Assistance Program (ECEAP)

The Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) is a state-funded, "whole child" preschool program. This program is designed for 3 and 4 year old children and their families. The program helps children and families with school readiness and school success. Staff supports children's development and growth in physical, social, emotional, cognitive and creative areas. The program works in partnership with parents, the community and state and federal agencies.

Class Times

Morning and afternoon classes are:
MWF: 8:15am – 11:45am
TThF: 12:00 – 3:30pm

Do I Qualify?

Eligibility for ECEAP Services:
Children are eligible for ECEAP if they are at least three years old, but not yet five years old, by August 31 of the school year AND one of the following:

• Returning to the same ECEAP Contractor from the previous school year.
• Qualified by their school district for special education services under RCW 28A.155.020. All children on a school district Individualized Education Program (IEP) meet this requirement.
• From a family with income at or below 110% of the 2012 Federal Poverty Level Guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Each Contractor's maximum percentage of over-income children is in their ECEAP Client Services Contract. Children cannot be simultaneously enrolled in Head Start and ECEAP. Children served by school district special education may be simultaneously enrolled in ECEAP.
