Associate in Arts

Purpose

It is highly recommended that students take are, music literature or drama/theater as their humanities distribution.

Individual baccalaureate institutions have specific requirement. It is strongly recommended that coursework be saved in order to present a portfolio upon transfer. If a student is not computer literate (ability to word process, create and use spreadsheets, create power point presentations) it is strongly recommended that he/she take an appropriate course.

**Students should be able to demonstrate computer literacy in software including word processing, PowerPoint, spreadsheets, in addition to being proficient on the Internet. These skills may be demonstrated through a portfolio of files gathered during their education course work.

Students are required to complete 3-5 credits in a Diversity course (D). A list of courses that satisfy the Diversity Requirement can be found in the college catalog.
